Cameron Smith weighs in on 'biggest decision' faced by off-contract Mitchell Moses

Cameron Smith has pinpointed what he sees as "the biggest decision" Mitchell Moses must make as he grapples with his contract negotiations. The off-contract Parramatta halfback is yet to make a call on his NRL future despite having entered a new season with the Eels.Smith unpacked the scenario following the opening game of the NRL season, in which Moses' Eels were defeated by the Storm in golden point."I think it's really important that he doesn't rush into the decision," Smith said on Nine's post-game coverage."I think the modern-day player understands about the decision and the time it takes to make these important choices in life."I think the one thing he really needs to decide is (whether it's) about money or about a premiership."A lot of the time it's hard to get both."If you're chasing a premiership and you want to be around quality players, you can't exactly get top dollar like you could elsewhere."So I guess that's probably the biggest decision he needs to make."The Sydney Morning Herald reported in February that Moses was set to reject a huge play from Wests Tigers and commit to the Eels. The 28-year-old will knock back a four-year, $5.2 million offer from the Tim Sheens-led Wests Tigers to tie his future to Parramatta, according to SMH reporter Michael Chammas. But the Eels faithful are still sweating on an announcement from the club confirming a fresh deal for Moses.
