Loaned Star's Wish just a Pipe Dream

David Nofoaluma can forget about remaining with the Melbourne Storm and abandoning the Wests Tigers. Nofoaluma was struggling in reserve grade at the Tigers when he was loaned to the Storm late-season, where he is enjoying the fruits of playing outside the likes of Jahrome Hughes and Cameron Munster. He has made none-too-subtle hints in recent weeks that he wants to stay at the Storm in 2023, saying how he is loving football again and thriving in purple. But Tigers boss Tim Sheens, who loaned Nofoaluma to his good mate Craig Bellamy on the strict condition that it would only be for the remainder of this year to ease the Tigers' salary cap pressure, has shut down talk of a permanent deal. "David has two years left on his contract with us - end of story," Sheens told.
