Horror Broncos scenario on verge of reality

Brisbane Broncos legend and current director Darren Lockyer has conceded that despite low expectations at the start of the 2022 season, missing the finals now would be a disaster for Brisbane."I think there'd be a lot of soul searching if that was to happen," he told Wide World of Sports' QLDER."I think it's still a long shot."The thing is, if you'd offered Broncos fans this scenario at the start of the season, they'd have taken it with open arms. After an embarrassing finals exit in 2019 kickstarted two years of failure at Red Hill in the seasons prior to this one, many were just hoping for respectability in 2022.Instead, thanks to the arrival of Adam Reynolds, the career-best form of several rising stars, and the gentle guiding hand of Kevin Walters, they've racked up 13 wins in 22 games."They've had some great form throughout the course of the year, at different stages," Wally Lewis told QLDER.
