Sheens fuming at 'ridiculous' $7 million claim

Wests Tigers have distanced themselves from reports that they are about to make a huge bid for Storm superstar Cameron Munster.A foxsports.com.au story on Thursday morning reported that the Tigers are set to launch an audacious $7 million bid for the in-demand five-eighth.But it immediately drew an angry response from Tigers boss Tim Sheens."It's ridiculous," Sheens told Wide World of Sports."We haven't spoken to Munster or his manager and don't intend to."My focus is on development, getting our current spine back on the field and fit and working from there."Injuries have killed us this season but we have bought a couple of good players for next year in Isaiah Papali'i (Parramatta) and Api Koroisau (Penrith)."We haven't had our best team on the field all season but people don't seem to realise that."Adam Doueihi missed the first half of the season and his knee is still coming good."Then we lost Jackson Hastings with a broken leg and Luke Brooks on top of that so we have struggled for consistency in the playmakers."We were very poor against the Roosters last week but we lost two players in the first 15 minutes and another one later in the game."We had blokes out of position and out on their feet."Once we get our best team on the field next season and some of our good young players start coming through, things will turn around."
