Peachey With a Point to Prove

The Tigers couldn't get rid of journeyman Tyrone Peachey quickly enough at the end of last season - but the veteran has resurrected his career at the Panthers.With their Origin stars rested, the Panthers needed their second stringers to really stand up against a talented Newcastle team on Saturday night.And Peachey and half Jack Cogger both answered the call with strong games in Penrith's 20-12 win.Watch the 2023 State of Origin series LIVE and exclusive on Channel 9 and 9Now.Playing in the centres, Peachey scored two tries and made several other dangerous runs.For the second straight week, Cogger directed the team around the park well and is proving a fine replacement for the injured Nathan Cleary.

Panther Eyeing Overseas Move

Back-to-form Panthers utility Tyrone Peachey is the latest player destined to head to Super League.The 31-year-old is closing in on the 200-game mark in the NRL after a decade in the big league and is looking at one final contract in England.Peachey played well for the Panthers in Magic Round, making a linebreak and running for more than 100 metres in the 18-6 defeat of the Warriors.The versatile back isn't signed with the Panthers beyond this season and his name has been mentioned to several Super League clubs, who are showing some interest.

Titans sign boom rookie
