Who would have thought that after 12 rounds of the 2025 season, the best performance by a Knights fullback would come from Fletcher Sharpe? Kalyn Ponga is the heart and soul of the Knights and one of the game's superstars - but with his Origin selection, Sharpe got his chance in the No.1 jumper against the premiers Penrith. Sharpe ran for nearly 300 metres, made four line breaks and had 16 tackle breaks against the weakened Panthers team. Ponga - who is the highest paid player in the NRL on $1.4m a year - has had a couple of decent games this season - but nothing to match the performance of Sharpe, who is having a great year in an inconsistent Knights side.
