Secret 'spywork' that sunk Rabbitohs record holder

Did some 'spywork' from Brisbane's sly old fox Adam Reynolds help bring about South Sydney's downfall on Thursday night at Suncorp? From the opening minutes, the Broncos put the pressure on Alex Johnston, with Reynolds' kicking game giving Souths' veteran winger nightmares. Johnston constantly had to turn and chase the ball, and was beaten to it several times by the younger and faster Deine Mariner, notably for the first try. Reynolds knows Johnston's game inside out from the many years the pair played alongside each other in red and green, and clearly backed Mariner to get the job done. Mariner finished with two tries and looks a player who will score many more for the Broncos in 2024 and beyond.
