Struggling clubs are fuming at the NRL draw - especially the way it clearly favours some teams over others. The Storm, for example, have four of their first five games at home, where they are close to invincible, as well as a bye.Sure, the Storm will have to do some travelling later in the year, but what it means is that by round six, they will be well on their way to finals footy, with premiership points safely stored away in their back pockets. The pressure will be basically off to win matches to make the finals, especially coming into the State of Origin period. In contrast, the Tigers - back-to-back wooden spooners who need all the help they can get - have just two home games in the opening seven rounds. Which means by round seven, the luckless Tigers will likely be again sitting at the bottom of the ladder, another year without finals football staring them in the face.
