The Warriors have suffered a major blow with the loss of highly respected assistant coach Justin Morgan to the Cowboys. Morgan boasts one of the best resumes of any coaches in the game, having been an assistant with the Kiwi national team as well as Canberra, the Storm and Warriors as well as head coach of Hull KR in the Super League. He has been a key figure in the new-look Warriors this season, helping head coach Andrew Webster mould the team into a top-four contender. But Morgan has decided on a sea change and will replace Dragons-bound Dean Young as Todd Payten's right hand man for the next three seasons. Morgan is well known in England, having coached French outfit Toulouse to the Challenge Cup semi-finals in 2005, and then coaching Hull KR for six years, helping them earn promotion to the Super League in 2006. He also had a fine playing career in the NRL, notching more than 130 games with the Eels Raiders and Warriors in the 1990s and 2000s.
