A rookie hooker of Samoan and Chinese heritage is putting massive pressure on Sea Eagles coach Anthony Seibold to be included in his NRL team. Gordon Chan Kum Tong was named as the Sea Eagles' No.22 for round one - but don't be surprised if he is there against the Bulldogs on Saturday. The Sea Eagles have been struggling for a penetrating hooker since Manase Fainu was sent to jail, even though Lachlan Croker was their player of the year last season. Croker is a good, solid reliable NRL first grader but lacks Chan Kum Tong's explosiveness out of dummy-half, which is reminiscent of Fainu. The youngster stood out in both Manly's trials, while Croker was rested for both - indicating his time is close.
