Kimmorley scores Tigers' NRLW gig

Wests Tigers are set to do the right thing by Brett Kimmorley, giving him the role as inaugural coach of their NRLW team for next season. The club received plenty of criticism when Kimmorley was handed the top-grade job when Michael Maguire was sacked mid-season. With a poor roster and host of injuries, Kimmorley managed just one win, and his coaching career looked over before it had ever got a chance to begin. Pundits accused the former Test half of being thrown to the wolves, but the Tigers know 'Noddy' can coach and he will soon be officially appointed as head coach of their first NRLW team. The Tigers will be one of four new clubs in the NRLW next season, along with the Sharks, Cowboys and Raiders.
