Brisbane Broncos legend Darren Lockyer says star Melbourne Storm hooker Harry Grant would be on the top of his list if he was recruiting for the Dolphins. The 2022 NRL season is just over three weeks away from kicking off, but fans and clubs are keeping a close eye on the competition's incoming 17th NRL franchise, with the Dolphins currently in recruitment mode. While the Dolphins have signed the likes of Parramatta's Ray Stone and Brisbane's Jamayne Isaako, they've been extra picky with players at the Storm. Maroons star Felise Kaufusi, as well as brothers Jesse and Kenny Bromwich, have all inked muli-year deals with the club from 2023. Those three players combined have won seven premierships at the Storm. Lockyer was queried on several burning questions ahead of the NRL season, which included who the Dolphins should target next. "Ideally you get a key spine player," he told Nine News Queensland. "I think Harry Grant is a pretty special player and plays a pretty key position. "Harry Grant's probably the one I would be chasing." Fellow rugby league legend Paul Vautin was also asked what the Dolphins should do in terms of recruitment, but he opted to poke at the Dolphins for targeting veterans.
