Souths have signed a promising five-eighth from North Queensland who would have played for Italy had this year's World Cup gone ahead. Jack Campagnolo, 23, hails from Tully in the far north but attracted the Rabbitohs' eyes playing for Wynnum Manly Seagulls in the Queensland Cup this year. Campagnolo helped Wynnum to the grand final and was named Five-eighth in the Cup's team of the year. The playmaker has been signed on a train and trial contract but will spend the summer with the first grade squad and good judges at Souths ard confident they are on a winner.
