Bellamy not alarmed by NRL ladder spot

Melbourne may be in unfamiliar territory outside the top eight but the NRL premiers feel they aren't far off the pace. Preparing to host Brisbane on Good Friday at AAMI Park, the Storm have only spent 10 weeks out of the eight in the past 10 years but find themselves there after tight losses to Penrith and Parramatta. They have star fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen back from injury, but Storm coach Craig Bellamy is wary of a Broncos outfit that ended a club record losing streak with a shut-out win over Canterbury. Brisbane also welcome some heavyweights back with Payne Haas (suspension ) and Matt Lodge (hamstring) among the reserves. "They were really good last week and they've got a couple of important players coming back in Haas and Lodge and they will obviously add a lot to their team," Bellamy said. "They were very impressive last week, especially in their last 20-30 minutes so I imagine they will be looking to continue that." Given their tough early round opponents Bellamy said his team weren't alarmed by the losses. "It's not panic stations - we've played Souths, Penrith and Parramatta who a lot of people think will be in the top four; we played two of those games away and got beat in two in the last two minutes," he said. "We're doing some things well. It's just those critical moments where we need to be better with our execution."
