The Wests Tigers' messy Lachlan Galvin contract saga is almost certainly over, with the teen superstar given permission to negotiate with rival clubs. According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Galvin will be given permission to open discussions before the November 1 free agency, but on conditions. One of them is the 'reconsideration' of his potential legal case against the club, which centres on allegations of bullying. The other is believed to be a hefty transfer fee, the value of which has not yet been determined. The Tigers are one of seven clubs with a bye this weekend, and there are hopes a deal elsewhere could be secured by the end of next week, meaning he has already played his last game for the club. The news comes days after Galvin bombed a try late in the Tigers' loss to the Rabbitohs that would have levelled the scores with four minutes to play. The Tigers dropped a bombshell last month when they announced Galvin - who was contracted until the end of next season - had rejected a lucrative extension and would instead test the open market. It prompted a flurry of social media reaction from teammates, including skipper Jarome Luai and winger Sunia Turuva. Having initially declared the club intended to hold Galvin to the terms of his contract, the legal threats that stemmed from the social media posts appeared to have led to the club softening that stance. Despite repeated denials from Bulldogs football boss Phil Gould, Belmore is one of two short-priced destinations for the talented half, the other being Parramatta.
