The Cowboys have lost Queensland under 19 fullback Mutua Brown to the Raiders - effective immediately. The youngster moved to Canberra last week and played in the Canberra Jersey Flegg team - but is a rookie going places fast. The 19-year-old had been playing for Cowboys feeder club Mackay Cutters in the Queensland Cup but felt his path to first grade would be quicker at the Raiders. Brown spent last summer training with the Cowboys' NRL squad and has the added advantage of being a utility, able to play just about anywhere in the backline.
