NRL greats Scott Sattler and Mat Rogers have reacted to reports Dylan Brown wants a $1.2 million deal if he leaves the Parramatta Eels and suggested the five-eighth isn't worth that price. Brown's agent caused a stir at the beginning of the year having reached out to rival clubs to see the playmaker's worth on the open market. The five-eighth has up until round 10 of the 2025 NRL season to trigger his player option to stay at the club. Brown is on around $900,000 at the Eels and was expected to stay on for a number of years. However, his agent managed to stir up media hype around the 24-year-old as negotiations with the Eels started to intensify. Brown has been linked to the Roosters with Trent Robinson short on NRL halves after Luke Keary's exit and Sam Walker's injury. Although Brown could very well stay at Parramatta and just be looking to slightly boost his current contract. While new coach Jason Ryles and the board will be thrilled if this comes to fruition, Sattler isn't so sure Brown is worth the money being reported.
