The Sharks are excited about one of their development players, fullback Liam Ison, who bagged a hat trick of tries playing for Newtown in the NSW Cup last weekend. The Panthers junior, who only joined the club this year, is a pocket rocket in the Ryan Papenhuyzen mould with amazing acceleration off the mark. The club is talking to Ison's management about upgrading and extending him and if he continues to progress at this rate, he could prove the long-term successor to Will Kennedy's fullback throne.
