Sheens reveals new role after messy Tigers exit

Sacked Wests Tigers coach Tim Sheens is making a return to rugby league - with the best schoolboy team in the country. Sheens, a four-time premiership winner and former Kangaroos coach, has been hired as a consultant by Westfields Sports High School. The school won the national schoolboys title last year, thrashing Gold Coast school Palm Beach Currumbin 38-4 in the final. Ironically, leading the charge was boom five-eighth Lachlan Galvin, who Sheens signed to the Tigers and who will make his NRL debut against Canberra in round two. "I've known the school's coach Troy Wheedon for some time and we started talking and one thing led to another," Sheens told . "It's a three days a week job and the school has some great young players who are thirsty to learn. "I've always enjoyed working with kids and it's an exciting new opportunity."
