Johns flies the coop

Cooper Johns is on the lookout for a new club, with Manly's salary cap full up and unable to accommodate him for 2024. Johns showed enough in eight games for the Sea Eagles that he will be a handy pick-up for rival NRL clubs. The son of the great Matty Johns has plenty of skill, is super fit and possesses a dry wit that makes him a handy guy to have around during a long campaign. He's not quite in the starting NRL playmaker class yet, but as he showed in his time at Manly, he's eager to learn and a useful squad player. Several rival clubs have already expressed interest to his management.
