The Roosters are playing down Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii's much talked about meeting with Rugby Australia boss Hamish McLennan last week in the lead-up to Tuesday's big Anzac Day clash with the Dragons.The club has said it is OK with the catch-up… but behind the scenes it's a very different story.Roosters heavyweights are far from pleased that the boom youngster - who has signed to play rugby union from 2025 - chose to meet with the rival code in a very public place - a trendy cafe in the heart of Roosters territory in Woollahra.It was a naive move from Suaalii - one that was always going to generate controversy - and he has been told if he must talk to rugby union types, to do it behind closed doors next time.
