Crushing Schuster blow as injury strikes again

Manly playmaker Josh Schuster has been ruled out of Saturday's clash against Newcastle with a quad injury.Schuster suffered the injury in the first half of last week's golden point loss to South Sydney and will be replaced by Cooper Johns at five-eighth.The Sea Eagles star had only just returned from a calf injury and will now sit out again with the club hopeful he will be fit to face Penrith at Bluebet Stadium next Saturday.Manly's Josh Schuster will miss the round-five clash against Newcastle with a quad injury in another early setback to his tenure as five-eighth.It's understood Schuster's return-to-play timeline has yet to be decided.Johns, son of Newcastle great Matthew, will play his second game of the season after filling in for Schuster during the round-one defeat of Canterbury.Schuster showed commitment in the offseason to make his transition from the second-row to five-eighth a success, losing nearly 15kgs.
