The Bulldogs build-up continues, with the club signing one of the most promising young forwards in Queensland. Duquan Talaepa is a tough 16-year-old edge or middle forward from the Mabel Park School near Brisbane. The hard-running youngster made a big impression playing for Queensland in the national under 15 championships last year and Bulldogs scouts beat several clubs to get him to put pen to paper. He also shone in the Cyril Connell Cup playing for Souths Magpies and will spend the next couple of years finishing his schooling in Queensland but will make regular visits to Bulldogs HQ to check in with Phil Gould and the coaching staff.
