The Panthers are close to snaring one of the best prospects in bush footy - Orange CYMS utility back Nick Murphy.Murphy led the Western Rams to their first Laurie Daley Cup triumph this season, starring in a thrilling 30-20 win over Riverina.A quick-stepping five-eighth who can also play in the centres, he was named Country under-18 player of the year and presented with the Tom Nelson Medal at the NSW Rugby League awards night as best player in the Laurie Daley Cup.Several clubs have been keen to sign Murphy but my mail is he'll be a Panther in 2023.
