Bennett's Dolphins sound out All Blacks hopeful

Still struggling to improve their roster for their maiden season next year, the Dolphins have taken their search across countries - and codes.Wayne Bennett's franchise is now looking at star Kiwi rugby union outside back and All Black hopeful Shaun Stevenson. The 25-year-old fullback/winger is at the top of his game, with over 100 Super Rugby games to his credit.A former New Zealand under-20 and Maori All Black representative, Stevenson currently plays for North Harbour after previous stints at Waikato and the Chiefs.Ironically, Stevenson is close to All Black selection, and one of the players he is competing against for a spot is former Warriors and Roosters league sensation Roger Tuivasa-Sheck.The All Blacks team to tour Europe will be named later this week. If Stevenson gets the nod, he is likely to stay in rugby union - but if he misses out he will be more open to offers from league.
