Aiming to bounce back from a club-record loss, hooker Fa'amanu Brown says the Wests Tigers are playing for their livelihoods as well as pride when they host St George Illawarra on Sunday.The Tigers are staring at the first wooden spoon in their 21-year history after they were smashed 72-6 by the Sydney Roosters last week.The joint venture are currently bottom of the ladder, equal on points with the Gold Coast but 63 behind the Titans on for and against with a -279 differential."It obviously wasn't the result we wanted but I think we have learnt to give it 24 hours to moan and groan about it," Brown said."But the best thing about rugby league is that there is always another week of football."We have the best job in the world and me and the boys have tried to put our best foot forward."We want to show pride in our jersey and for our families and just want to be the best individuals we can be."The Tigers' run of form since the sacking of Michael Maguire in round 12 has yielded just one win from 10 games.David Nofoaluma and Oliver Gildart have been loaned to rival NRL clubs in a sign to many in the game the Tigers had put the cue in the rack for the 2022 season.But Brown insisted his teammates wanted to prove to incoming head coach Tim Sheens they had the desire to help be part of turning the club around in 2023."We still have to fight for our jobs," Brown said.
