Arthur's emphatic response to exit rumours

Parramatta Eels coach Brad Arthur has hit back at reports suggesting he'd been shopped around to rival clubs, saying he plans on seeing out his contract. Despite being signed through the 2024 season, Arthur had reportedly been offered to rival NRL clubs by his management. However, speaking to media on Tuesday, the 48-year-old said he had "no reason to leave" the club. "I think I'm nine years into the job and every year at some stage there's a question mark around whether I'm the coach moving forward," he said. "Have I ever not been committed to the club? I've got no reason to leave. "What's fair in our game? How many coaches have been sacked and there's other coaches' jobs that are on the line at the moment, or so we've been told. "It was only two or three weeks ago that I was getting sacked, now today I'm going somewhere else. "Everything comes to an end at some stage, I just don't want that to be at the moment or real soon."
