Manly came oh so close to a grand final berth in 2021 and is the only team in the top four not to have any significant player losses over the summer. With the premiership's most dangerous strike weapon in Tom 'Turbo' Trbojevic, some damaging forwards and the experienced halves pairing of Kieran Foran and Daly Cherry-Evans, Manly ticks a lot of boxes. The Sea Eagles are top-four material once again - and could do even better given an injury-free run.
Gains: Ethan Bullemor (Broncos).
Losses: Curtis Sironen (St Helens), Moses Suli (Dragons), Tevita Funa (released), Jack Gosiewski (Dragons), Zac Saddler (released), Cade Cust (Wigan).
Best 17: 1. Tom Trbojevic 2. Jason Saab 3. Brad Parker 4. Morgan Harper 5. Reuben Garrick 6. Kieran Foran 7. Daly Cherry-Evans 8. Josh Aloiai 9. Lachlan Croker 10. Martin Taupau 11. Haumole Olakau'atu 12. Josh Schuster 13. Jake Trbojevic 14. Dylan Walker 15. Ethan Bullemor 16. Sean Keppie 17. Taniela Paseka
Greatest strength: No club in the league was able to stop Tommy Turbo last year - and that was after he had a slow start to the season through injury. With a good off-season behind him, he could be even more lethal in 2022.
Biggest loss: Moses Suli was hot and cold in his time at Manly but is the type of dangerous player who could come back to bite Manly. Has looked good in the pre-season with the Dragons.
Predicted 2022 finishing position: 2nd
