After 19 seasons on the brutal stage of the NRL, Benji Marshall may be about to face his toughest challenge of all. Just days after hanging up his boots in the grand final, Benji has been approached to appear on the gruelling TV show SAS Australia. Fellow former NRL star Sam Burgess was just crowned king of the second season of the show, in which contestants face a series of extremely demanding mental and physical tasks. Marshall is currently weighing up whether he wants to put his body through more pain after almost two decades in the NRL firing line. "They made an approach and Benji was flattered to be asked," his manager Matt Desira told. "But he has a lot of commitments next year - including a television commentating role - so we just have to work out if he can do it time-wise and if he wants to go through such a tough challenge." Former Rabbitoh and Great Britain star Burgess was the only contestant to pass the gruelling course in season two. Other participants included runner John Steffensen, former tennis star Mark Philippoussis, ex-Olympian Jana Pittman and actor Dan Ewing.
