Gold Coast playmakers Ash Taylor and Tyrone Peachey headline a host of Titans pushed out the door following the club's 2021 season. Taylor, Peachey, Mitch Rein, Sam Stone, Jai Whitbread and Jonus Pearson have all been let go by the Titans. The forced exit of Taylor marks an astounding fall by the playmaker, who was on $1 million a year over his final four seasons at the Titans but failed to live up to his price tag. As the Titans surged late to snare their first finals appearance since 2016 this season, Taylor was shunted to the sideline as Jamal Fogarty and Peachey combined in the halves. Taylor played 114 games across six years with Gold Coast, after crossing from Brisbane ahead of the 2016 season. The Gold Coast Titans want to thank all six players for their contributions and sacrifices made during their time with the club and wish the players and their families all the best for what comes next
