Tigers sink in Player Market

The poor old Tigers can't take a trick at the moment. Thumped by Cronulla last weekend in a loss that has all but ended their finals hopes, they are also struggling to attract new talent. The club was keen to lure Bulldogs forward Luke Thompson (see above) but he knocked them back. So too did promising Roosters back-rower Egan Butcher, who scored the opening try in the impressive win over the Dragons last weekend. The Tigers had been chasing Butcher for some time but he and his brother Nat have both re-signed at the Roosters. Tim Sheens WILL whip the Tigers into shape when he gets into town - but he is still stuck in the north of England trying to get a flight home.
