Parker puts high hits to back of mind

Manly centre Brad Parker won't let a series of high shots stop him from taking hard runs out of his own end as he prepares to return alongside Tom Trbojevic against Canterbury. Heading into Sunday's clash at Redcliffe, Parker's name has appeared on the NRL's judiciary charge sheet five times this season. Incredibly, in all five instances he was the victim. Four times with opponents charged for careless high tackles and once for a shoulder charge. Friday night's win over Canberra was at least only the first game he has missed this year through concussion, but the 24-year-old is well aware of his bad run of luck. "It is a worrying factor," Parker admitted. "It's something you definitely don't want and I've had a couple in my season. "But if I feel like if I go into games and worrying about that kind of thing, it slows how I play down. "I don't really want to go into games worried about injuries or head highs or anything like that because I won't play how I normally play. "It's one of those things if it happens it happens and I try and avoid it as best I can."
