HIS father was the most famous Balmain Tiger of them all - and now Mitchell Pearce may follow in his footsteps and finish his career at the Wests Tigers. Wide World of Sports has been told that a third party has approached Wests Tigers asking about the possibility of Pearce joining the club in 2022. If he did so, it would be a fairytale way to end his career - at the club where dad Wayne 'Junior' Pearce was a legend, playing for 11 seasons and nearly 200 games. Cronulla have already made overtures to Pearce, who is still signed at Newcastle for 2022 but on a smaller contract than his current deal. At 32, Pearce still has plenty of football in him and many at the Tigers believe he would be a better chance than Luke Brooks to guide the club to finals footy.
