The Broncos stuck the knife into poor Dragons fullback Matt Dufty in the past few days. Firstly, the Broncos came out and declared that they had no interest in the unwanted Dragons star for 2022. As if that wasn't enough, the Broncos came up with yet another of their embarrassing defensive displays against Canberra, playing the Raiders right back into form. But more significantly, their poor tackling helped stop-gap Canberra fullback Bailey Simonsson to have a blinder. Simonsson ran for 243 metres and came up with two try assists in a top-class performance. Prior to the game, the Raiders were the one club showing interest in Dufty - but after the way Simonsson went filling in for the injured Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad, they are almost certain to change their minds on the Dragons' speedster.
