Manly maestro Daly Cherry-Evans is bravely battling a nagging groin injury that may require surgery at the end of the season. DCE suffered the injury in an early-season game but is continuing to soldier on, despite being in pain and discomfort at both training and on game day. The injury is the reason that Cherry-Evans has handed the Manly goal-kicking duties over to winger Reuben Garrick, as he tries to put as little strain on the groin as possible. With Tom Turbo back firing on all cylinders and DCE calling the shots at halfback, Manly are suddenly looking finals bound after a disastrous start to the season.
