Bellamy yet to commit to Storm future

Craig Bellamy says reports that he has locked in his NRL coaching future with Melbourne are "far from the truth", however he is inching closer to a decision.Bellamy had reportedly told Storm officials he was on board for a 20th season but the coaching mastermind said on Thursday he was yet to commit. As well as Melbourne, Brisbane and Cronulla have declared their interest in getting the multi premiership-winning mentor to their club as a coaching director. It's believed he's considering continuing as Storm coach in 2022 before handing over the full-time duties and shifting to another role within the club. His decision has been delayed by a serious health issue within his family. "It's not right," Bellamy said of reports that a deal had been sealed. "I haven't committed to anything at the moment and I'm not quite sure where that come from or why it has come at this stage. "Obviously a decision is getting closer but that's certainly not ... it's far from the truth." The coach's main focus this week has been preparing for Melbourne's clash with Cronulla at AAMI Park on Friday evening, in after a five-day turnaround after their big win over the Warriors.
