It shows the heartbreaking moment when Manly forward Andrew Davey is given the news that he has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament during the loss to South Sydney last Saturday night. The injury has ended Davey's season - and put his future in the game in doubt. Distraught after putting in the hard yards all summer and winning a first grade spot at his new club, Davey's season was cruelly cut short in an awkward tackle and he hugs a mate in the Brookvale sheds as he is given the terrible news. At 28, Davey was the fourth-oldest debutant in the modern era when he played his first game for Parramatta last year and has vowed to fight his way back next season. "I'm not really sure how to feel just yet. I'm waiting for it all to sink in and become real," Davey said on an Instagram post accompanying the photo. "From one mental battle to another.
